Taken in the back garden this afternoon. Olympus OM-D set to AF and the oft-criticzed Zuiko 12-50 lens set to Macro. I thought it was a pretty reasonable result for a lens which isn't a specialist macro optic.
I was very pleased with it. Quite disproportionately pleased actually.
I was very happy with the performance of the lens. It has had a lot of bad press because it is so slow but I quite like it and I think that because they didn't try to get too ambitious with it it works very well. The autofocus seems to have worked pretty well too.
Last but not least, the fly was particularly laid back and let me get very close and posed for several minutes until I had my shot.
